A heartwarming story from Itabira, Brazil, has found its happy ending, all thanks to a man deeply moved by a viral video. The video showed a small brown and white dog being abandoned by the roadside by someone in a car.
The woman who filmed the incident couldn’t immediately take the dog with her and went home to get her car. When she returned, the dog had disappeared. After sharing the video on social media with the caption
“I can’t stop thinking about the dog,” a local man was so touched that he decided to search for the missing canine.
This Good Samaritan spent two days looking for the lost dog. Although contacted by the media outlet Defato Online, he chose to remain anonymous
A video shared on WhatsApp shows the joyful, rescued dog playing with a family in what appears to be a backyard. “So folks, this is the dog we rescued that has created some controversy here in Itabira,” says the narrator in the video. “We were touched by the story and decided to find him. He is now being taken care of. He is here with us, with food and everything he needs.”
The family has now asked the public for help in naming the dog. The options are Pietro, Einstein, or Xerebebeu, and according to polls, ‘Pietro’ is the most popular choice.
Thanks to the witness and the man who refused to give up, this sad tale has now found its happy ending.
