Roger Federer, Dwyane Wade, and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson are among the stars from the sports world on the red carpet at The Oscars, along with John Cena, who appeared on stage to present an award butt-naked.
Federer – the record-holder for the most single titles at Wimbledon (eight) – looked dapper as ever in a white tuxedo jacket and black pants, as he stole the show with Rolex’s Daytona 100th anniversary of Le Mans edition.
He arrived at the 96th Academy Awards with his wife Miraslova ‘Mirka’, who was elegant herself in a long black dress with a white Peter Pan collar, matching buttons and white accents on the sleeves.
Wade – a three-time NBA champion with the Miami Heat – wore a similar outfit to Federer by wearing a Versace, white and black double-breasted blazer, and slim black pants. A subtle brooch topped his jacket lapels.
His wife and actress Gabrielle Union was by his side in a glittery and strapless, custom Carolina Herrera gown.

But, ‘The Rock’ didn’t shine nearly as much as the former pro basketball player, who shares an alternate spelling of his first name, with many questioning the wrestler’s taste in fashion.
He showed up to Sunday’s ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in a metallic silver Dolce & Gabbana suit, featuring a burgundy-lined silk shirt, which nearly showed his navel.
But, former pro wrestler, John Cena, stole the limelight at the award ceremony, as he showed up on stage without wearing any clothes and covering his private parts with just an envelope to present the winner for best costume design.
‘Costumes… they are so important,’ he said in front of a crowd of thousands of actors, producers, and other members of film production crews, while standing with nothing to cover his body.
Visibly embarrassed in what is one of the most memorable introductions to an award winner in years, he added: ‘Maybe, the most important thing there is…I cannot open the envelope…’
Poor Things’ Holly Waddington was eventually named as the winner in that category.
