A rare white elephant calf that lost its mother, starved for milk, cried dryly, was given a second chance at life in a touching video

The heartwarming video depicts the rescue of a starving baby elephant in Sri Lanka. Baby elephants frequently become separated from their parents and are unable to rejoin their herds, leaving them vulnerable to predators, including humans.

The wildlife department was contacted to provide medical supplies, food, and milk to the baby elephant. The elephant was escorted back to a nearby camp where it could receive the care and protection it needed to recover and grow.

Elephants are an important part of Sri Lanka’s culture, and many people work to protect them from abuse and corruption. However, conflicts between elephants and farmers can result in casualties on both sides, leading to the use of fences and other barriers to protect crops.

In Sri Lanka, so many baby elephants get lost like this daily as they get separated from their parents every day. These playful elephants need to be then kept safe from so many predators out there in the jungle, including humans who are on the wrong side.

During the rescue, the rescuers attempted to move the elephant themselves but were unsuccessful. They called on a villager with a tractor to assist, highlighting the importance of cooperation between individuals and organizations in protecting these magnificent creatures.
