When Rebecca, who runs a horse farm, got a new puppy named Orion, she knew she needed to bring the pup to the stables right away. She wanted the dog to keep her company at work, so Orion needed to be comfortable with horses.
Within a few minutes, Orion made a special connection with a brown and white spotted horse named Destiny. The puppy pushed his nose through the stable door to be closer to Destiny.
Since that day, these two animals have been best friends. Every morning when Rebecca walks to the pasture with Orion, Destiny runs to greet the dog, no matter how far away she is. She knows her friend is there.
The two animals greet each other and act as if it’s been ages since they last saw each other though it’s only been a day. Rebecca loves to hike with her fur friends at the end of the day, with Orion leading the way.
Even though Orion is small compared to the large horse, he stops every few steps to turn around and make sure that Destiny is still behind him. He always wants to protect his friend.
Orion will even get on his hind legs to kiss Destiny. He’ll stand up to better reach Destiny’s face. He gently places his paws on either side of her snout and licks her all over. Then Destiny will bend down to cover Orion in love as well.
When Destiny needs new horseshoes, Orion always stands with her to keep her calm. These two cuties are the definition of best friends, and Rebecca is overjoyed to share her life with them.2
